Interested in applying for NCOA’s $50,000 SNAP Enrollment Center grant?
Join us for an informational webinar about this new funding opportunity, made possible with support from the Walmart Foundation. Nine (9) organizations in Ohio, West Virginia, and/or Virginia will receive $50,000 grants to strengthen efforts to help adults age 60 and older access and enroll in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
The webinar will provide guidance about the grant opportunity and give potential applicants an opportunity to ask questions about the application.
The 18-month grants will support organizations working to strengthen SNAP outreach, application assistance, enrollment, follow-up, and recertification efforts. Selected organizations will also receive technical assistance, peer learning support, and access to shared tools and data systems.

Director of Economic Security & Social Safety Net Initiatives, National Council on Aging
Ebony is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the field of helping to improve the lives of vulnerable families and communities rooted in equity. In her most recent role as the Senior Director of Programs with Prosperity Now, Ebony led a team that provided tailored technical assistance and capacity building to nonprofits and other key stakeholders to increase their leadership, ability to access resources, influence policy, expand their partners and networks, and find promising solutions in providing human-centered services grounded in data to advance economic stability and mobility. Prior to her work at Prosperity Now, Ebony spent nine (9) years at W.K. Kellogg Foundation where she worked across many initiatives, programs, and sectors to provide resources and agency to partners nationally. During that time, Ebony supported the design and implementation of the W. K. Kellogg Foundation’s Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation (TRHT) enterprise. In this initiative, Ebony managed the collaboration and networking with over 130 organizations and thought experts to identify best practices and guiding principles for communities to consider when implementing the TRHT framework of narrative change, racial healing, separation, law, and economy. Ebony earned her MPA in Nonprofit Leadership Management from Western Michigan University and her BSBA from Colorado Technical University.

Shaneece Gaines is an experienced leader in economic and financial security, with a strong background in housing, financial counseling, grant management, and cross-sector partnerships. Before joining NCOA, she managed a $50M+ national grant portfolio at The Salvation Army and held leadership roles at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, where she directed a national network of housing counseling organizations and advanced housing affordability, homeownership, and financial empowerment initiatives. As Senior Manager of Economic & Financial Security at NCOA, she helps lead the development and implementation of programs, partnerships, and services that strengthen financial security and empowerment for adults age 45+, including initiatives focused on scam prevention, financial literacy, and food insecurity.
