This follow-up session builds on the introduction to NCOA’s Age-Positive Advocacy Toolkit by putting the tools into practice. As midterm elections approach, community-based organizations have an important role to play in helping decision-makers understand the real-life impact of programs and services that support older adults.

In this webinar, participants will learn how to use the toolkit’s messaging framework, storytelling techniques, and outreach resources to talk about issues affecting older adults in a positive, nonpartisan way. We’ll explore how to connect local experiences with broader policy discussions around topics such as access to benefits, healthy aging, nutrition, caregiving, community living, and economic security.

Through practical examples and discussion, attendees will gain confidence in sharing what they see every day in their communities and communicating why these services matter. Whether you’re talking with policymakers, community leaders, partners, or the public, this session will help you elevate your organization’s voice and advocate effectively on behalf of older adults.
